HARNESS AND LANYARD

Harnesses, lanyards and inspection of these items.

TRADESMAN HARNESS (FULL BODY HARNESS)

Tradesman Harnesses (full body harnesses ) are used as part of a fall arrest system. Fall arrest systems stop a user in a fall from a  height and suspend the user until they can be rescued. A full body harness must always be part of a fall arrest system and is usually anchored with a lanyard. Harnesses are also used for work positioning, travel restrictions, ladder climbing, rescue retrieval and evacuation. Harnesses are designed to contain the torso in an upright position and distribute forces to the sub-pelvic area incurred by a fall. There are two types of harnesses offered; the Vestype Harness and the Pullover Harness.

Vestype Harnesses have three shoulder strap adjustment points and tongue thigh strap buckles to adjust the harness snugly to the body. Available with back, hip, shoulder and a new chest D-ring configuration. All Vestype harnesses meet ANSI Z359.1, ANSI A10.14 and OSHA requirements.

Pullover Harnesses have a single point shoulder strap adjuster and the choice of tongue or friction thigh strap buckles, to adjust the harness snugly to the body. Integrated systems (harness with shock absorbers) are available upon request. All Pullover harnesses meet ANSI Z359.1, ANSI A10.14 and OSHA requirements.

SHOCK ABSORBING LANYARD SPECIFICATIONS

Shock Absorbing Lanyards are a component of a personal fall arrest system. They provide a means of connection between the back D-ring of harnesses and a qualified anchorage and anchorage connector. The energy absorber keeps fall arrest forces below ANSI and OSHA limits and deceleration distance is controlled to a maximum of 42 inches. Shock Absorbing Lanyards meet ANSI Z359.1, ANSI A10.14 and OSHA requirements.

TIE–BACK SHOCK ABSORBING LANYARD SPECIFICATIONS

Tie-Back Shock Absorbing Lanyards are a component of a personal fall arrest system. They provide a means of connection between the back D-ring of harnesses and a qualified anchorage and anchorage connector. The energy absorber keeps fall arrest forces below ANSI and OSHA limits and deceleration distance is controlled to a maximum of 42 inches. Tie-Back Shock Absorbing Lanyards meet ANSI Z359.1, ANSI A10.14 and OSHA requirements.
