NIS offers innovative Super Strong Shackles that are unique in the industry, featuring strength ratings up to 50 percent stronger than comparable sized carbon shackles and a 6:1 design factor for ultimate safety. Shackles for lifting are available in three styles: Screw Pin; Bolt, Nut & Cotter; and Round Pin.
Wire rope clips, also known as cable clamps, are devices used to secure wire ropes or cables together or to an anchor point. They are made up of a U-shaped bolt, a saddle, and two nuts. Wire rope clips are used in a variety of industries, including construction, rigging, and marine. They are an easy-to-install alternative to wire rope sleeves, which are permanent.
An eyebolt is a bolt with a loop, or “eye”, at one end that’s used to attach ropes or cables to a structure for lifting. Eye bolts are also known as lifting eye bolts or eyelets. There are different types of eyebolts, including plain, shouldered, and swivel style eye bolts.
Hoist rings are safer than other lifting rings because they allow for a greater range of motion. The bushing of the hoist ring should sit flush against the object being lifted. Swivel hoist rings can pivot 180° and swivel 360°, while pivoting hoist rings can only pivot. Swivel hoist rings are often preferred because they allow the load to rotate without the chain or rope twisting.
A turnbuckle is a common rigging device that is used to adjust tension and reduce slack in a rope, cable, or similar tensioning assembly. Turnbuckles are a diverse product line that are used in a variety of applications across many different industries.
A lifting clamp is a mechanical device used to position, lift, and move heavy objects, such as pipes, beams, and metal plates, from one place to another. Lifting clamps are often used in industries like construction, manufacturing, and shipbuilding.
